The Wines

NV Jean Laurent Blanc de Blanc Brut – Cellar selection.
The flavors of our appetizers will shine along side this Blanc de Blanc Brut champagne from the village of Celles-sur-Ourceshes. This elegant cellar selection reveals chalky/mineral character along with notes of citrus and is a great start to our meal tonight.

2000 Clos De La Coulee de Serrant Savennieres, Loire – Cellar selection.
Planted on steep slopes along the Loire river in the Savennières appellation, Clos de la Coulée de Serrant  is one of the greatest wine estates of the Loire valley. The vineyards of Chenin Blanc are separated by walls like in Burgundy, (thus the names Clos). The domaine is today managed by Nicolas Joly’s daughter, Virginie.

1997 Felsina Berardenga Rancia, Chianti Classico Riserva – Cellar selection.
The Rancia vineyard takes its name from the historic Rancia estate, once a Benedictine monastery. Located in Castelnuovo Berardenga at elevations ranging between 400 and 420 meters with a fine southwest-facing exposure, the vineyard covers 6.25 hectares. The more recent plantings utilized genetic material gathered from the old Rancia vineyard. Their first vintage was 1983.

2008 Mount Eden “Estate” Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay – Cellar selection.
This cellar worthy California Chardonnay is produced utilizing low harvest yields, dry farming techniques and barrel fermentations.

1995 Caparzo La Casa Brunello di Montalcino It – Cellar selection.
The favorable exposure of the vines, the particular geological nature of the ground and careful selection of the grapes ensure that La Casa vineyard, on the Montosoli hill, always yields great wines, with a structure ideal for long and rewarding ageing.

2005 Bonacchi Vin Santo del Chianti
Vin Santo, which translates to “Saint’s wine or Holy wine”, is Italy’s most traditional dessert wine, tracing its origins back to the earliest centuries. This wine is extremely well balanced, is medium sweet with a very rich embracing texture that lingers on the palate.
